How much?
Because we offer completely bespoke solutions we do not have a price list (companies that do surely can’t really be bespoke) but I believe if you want to sell something you need to put a price on it.
So this post is to give an indication of what things cost.
Kitchens
The smallest kitchen I’ve ever done was 3K, this included worktops, a glass splashback, all plumbing, electrical and fitting. Appliances were existing but we did supply a Belfast sink and tap in that price. Average sized kitchens come in about 9-12K including worktops (solid timber or composite), splashbacks, plumbing and electrical. Of course if you just want an addition to an existing kitchen, or a change of worktops or splash backs we can undertake this as well.
Often for us the project is more involved, like the kitchen with the blue splashbacks I blogged earlier it might include taking out walls, fitting flooring, decorating and reconfiguration, all of which we are happy to undertake.
This kitchen went from this:
To this:
The total cost was 20K including the planning, removal of wall and fitting lintel, new ceiling in the end room, plastering, electrical, plumbing, heating changes, towel rail, plinth heater, self levelling flooring and Amtico, decorating, kitchen units fronts drawers etc., fitting, lighting, new freezer, tap, induction hob, splash backs, window cill and unit housing the fridge and freezer in adjacent room.
Bedrooms
Wardrobes start from around 1K for something like a 3 door system with a combination of double and long hanging with some shelves. We can do curved units, marquetry, detailed cornice and mouldings, pull out solutions and all the usual racks etc. From memory I think the most expensive wardrobe I have completed was 8K and the average seems to be 2-3K.
Beds such as the children’s high sleeper I recently completed start at £800, we try to keep these a inexpensive as possible as they probably get removed as the child grows up. Often they are painted by the customer who wishes to add superhero or princess details. We also make a children’s shop/puppet theatre piece of furniture which may be of interest to those with families.
Alcove units
We have made a lot of these but I rarely remember to take a photograph, probably because they are more run of the mill items for us. They come in at around 0.5-3k depending on details and finish. The one with the samurai swords in the alcove units post was less than 2K including the locks alarms etc. Many people like to have these hand painted for the traditional look, we are happy to supply and fit primed for your decorator, I like to have the insides of drawers and cupboards in a ” pre- finished” material because these tend to get overseen by the decorator otherwise.
Offices
We have made some very luxurious offices sometimes costing as much as 30K but we have also completed offices with shelves, desk, drawers and cupboards for as little as 2K. We can make single items to complement your existing such as shelf units for much less.
Furniture
There are so many variations here but as a rule of thumb we cannot beat mass produced furniture companies on price, if however you are looking for something special that is totally to your specification give us a call you may be surprised.
Anyway I hope that gives you an indication but if you like us to come and see you please give me a call or drop us an email.
